ice fishing

Michigan offers many different opportunities for Ice Fisherman. My first experience of ice fishing was through the use of tip ups for Northern Pike. A good spread of tip ups with friends and family, keeping a eye out and chasing flags, is hard to beat on a Michigan winter day. In attempts to broaden my fishing knowledge, I have been targeting species such as Walleye and Trout recently.

River Fishing

Michigan host many miles of streams and rivers, big and small, with many different opportunities. Spawning runs of Steelhead, King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Atlantic and Walleye are some of the more popular species, that can draw large crowds. Summer is a great time to escape power boat traffic on many inland lakes and explore what these streams have to offer to the angler.
