Easy Venison Stuffed Peppers

Hey there everyone, it’s Mrs. Rewa (the other half of The Rewa Report). I thought I would share one of my favorite EASY (and healthy) recipes with you guys! Now, I am no chef, in fact I burn the majority of what I make. So, when I say these are easy, I mean it!

I like to use very few ingredients when I cook, so if your like me, you will love this recipe!

All you need is

  • 1 pound of ground venison

  • 1/2 cup of cheese

  • 2-3 tbsp of hot sauce ( I love to use the sweet baby rays buffalo sauce)

  • 3/4 cup of salsa

  • 3 peppers

First thing you will want to do is get a medium sized bowl to mix all your seasonings and meat in. Once you have them mixed together, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. You can do the rest of the steps while the oven is warming up.

Then you will want a medium sized pan to brown your meat. Brown the venison over medium heat for about 8 minutes.

After the Venison is browned, add in your salsa, cheese and hot sauce. All you have to do is give it a good mix till the cheese is melted.

Next, you will want to cut and wash the peppers. My best advice for this is to cut the pepper in half, then clean them out and wash them. After you do that, grab a baking sheet, spray it with olive oil and then place your washed peppers on it.

Then stuff the peppers even to the top of the cut pepper with the meat mixture you just made in your pan.

The good news is your almost done, the bad news is you now have dishes to do. Buttt…… now all you have to do is pop them in the oven for about 10-12 minutes. After about 8 minutes of cooking, sprinkle some cheese on the top and then let them go two more minutes.

Once you place them on a plate, you can sprinkle some more cheese and slice up an avocado for additional flavor!

Hope you enjoy these! Let me know what you think!
